Ron Yitzhak Kukia

Ron was standing at a bus stop when two terrorists stabbed him multiple times and fled the scene.

He managed to stumble out to the road to flag down help. A driver saw him and called for an ambulance. But it was too late to save his life.

Two Bedouin were arrested for the murder two days later. It was the first terrorist attack in Arad.

He leaves behind his parents and three older siblings.

Ron, a soldier in the IDF’s Nahal Brigade, was off duty when the attack took place. At his funeral, his mother spoke about how he brought joy everywhere he went.

“My magical boy, prince and king, slim and impressive and captivating, you always wanted a hug, and always got one. Go, my son, on your way, angels will receive you with a carpet of flowers.”

“We have no words to describe how to continue living with the thought that you are not with us,” Kokia’s sister said. “How were you there [in the bus station] all by yourself without us around to protect you? We so badly want to have been there during your last moments to hug you and not let go.”
